Corfu easy
A nice morning. Saturday. All the charter crews are getting off the boats, suitcases all over the marina. New crews arrive. Time to move.
There is some nice wind forecast for the afternoon. And it is just some 15 miles to an anchorage spot that I looked up.
Doing a test run of the new Code Zero sail. Fits, works nicely, looks great.
Wind drops. Back to motor. The repairs improved the leaking, didn’t stop it completely. I think the shaft is too corroded from sea water. Needs a complete replacement when being back home.
Passing some impressive yachts, all topped by the 110 m motor yacht “Kaos” (275m Euro). Owned by the youngest Wallmart doughter.
Found a anchor spot in 5m, sand, at the Boukari beach. The spot is a little exposed to wind and waves. All OK and we are the only boat (where the Petriti space, well known mooring spot, looks overcrowded). Nice restaurant at the beach, Taverna Aristos Perivoli Kaliviotis. Dinner; mussles with tzatziki and bread, water and 0.5l white wine for 32 Euro. Very good, but at its price.
6h sailing, 19 nm
Wind 10-5 kn,SE, sun
