Tiny
Logbook Day 11 – Zirje to Brac
The storm of the last days passed by. It left a lot of energy in the ocean. Means; high waves. Waves without wind isn’t much fun. The Jolie Fleur bounces around. Nearly making one sick. The first 15 miles across a wide, open stretch of water we need to motor. Reaching the first islands near Trogir, the wind slowly picks up, increasing over an hour or so to 20+ kn. Need to put a reef into the main.
Arriving at about 16:00 at Bobovisca at Brac island. A deep fjord with some buoy at the end, near the small village. A nice place.
We are early and chose a buoy that seems to fit our boat. A little trick mooring as there is a need for a shore line. Just as we all finished, the marinero came by to give us some instructions. He seemed a little unhappy. Maybe because we docked ourself. All settled, all done.
At about 18:00 many boats came in. Mainly charter. Likely the first day from Trogir or Split. A fleet of about 8 boats by MediSailors docked on our port side. A huge catamaran docked on our starboard side. Within this ensemble, the Jolie Fleur looks tiny. Shrinked. Dwarfed.
We went for Dinner and just got a table at the Kanoba Vala before all those charter crews came in. Good food, nice view.
