Logbook: 2024.06.29 Mljet to Korcula / Badija
A relaxed morning. That went away when a huge 30 m moto yacht entered the bay, looking for a place to anchor. What else, selecting the place right beside me. Just a boats length away, noisy and big. Not a place to stay. Getting off earlier as planned.
Nice wind and a easy 3 hour cruise over to Korcula. I remember an anchorage that I have seen on the way south. Right in front of a monastery, in 3 to 4 m water at Otok Badija. Perfect conditions and a nice surrounding. During the day, many motor boats and tourist ships.
The wind constantly blew with 15 knots. So I stayed on board, kept watch on the anchor hold. For the night the wind should drop and turn a 180 degree. For that, before night fall I put the Jolie Fleur to a different, more protected place.
